Lukwago will find work easy if he keeps his hands clean. When he gets the support of the people who want to see a better city and he is committed to that, things should work out. Lukwago has to balance between what is right and that so and so voted him. Where there is need for order, let it be.

On a colourful Friday morning the newly elected Kampala City Lord Mayor Mr Erias Lukwago and city councillors took oath, marking a transition from Kampala City Council (KCC) to Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
The executive director of KCCA, Ms Jennifer Musisi Ssemakula, a presidential appointee, conducted the ceremony punctuated by jubilations and cheering by supporters of the various councillors and the Lord Mayor.
FDC Leader, Dr Kizza Besigye attended Mr Lukyago's swearing in ceremony.
