Thursday, 18 August 2011 saw the Ministry of Education and Sports officials told by the Social Services Parliamentary Committee to come up with proposals regarding salaries of teachers, however, the Committee may have gone wrong. While teachers are serving the Ministry of Education, their pay is a matter of the Ministry of Public Service together with the Ministry of Finance. Sam Lyomoki the Chairman of the Committee may be wrong in assuming that the Ministry of Education should have come up with proposals over what they may not have mandate to work on. The Committee could better get the three Ministries and discuss the matter conclusively.
