THOSE INVOLVED IN ORGANIZING THE INTER-PARLIAMENTARY UNION SHOULD SAVE UGANDA ANOTHER CHOGM TYPE OF SHAME
Uganda is in the international press for corruption related scandals. Those involved in this conference preparation hopefully will not take our shame further. It is ridiculous for people with braims and good understanding in this era to be involved in corruption related scandals of the magnitude we see in Uganda. They don't mind about their names. It is sad.

The Speaker of Parliament, Ms Rebecca Kadaga has this Tuesday announced the Inter-Parliamentary Union (ICP) assembly is to be hosted in Uganda on April 5, 2012.
The conference according to Ms Kadaga will among others discuss the political, social and economic situation in the world and maternal health.
Under the theme ”Parliament and people; Bridging the gap” Ms Kadaga explained that the assembly would discuss ways of promoting and practicing good governance as a means of advancing peace and security and drawing lessons from recent events in the Middle East and North Africa.
“The Parliament of Uganda is greatly concerned with the political events in North Africa and the Arab world in general which affect mostly women and children who are silent participants and are therefore indirectly involved in these struggles,” Ms Kadaga said.
“We are also concerned with the general abuse of human rights that has emerged as a result of these events,” Uganda was selected to host the 126 Assembly of Inter-Parliamentary Union to be held in Kampala.
The governing council of the Inter-party Union at its 185th session in Geneva in 2009 approved Uganda as the host of the assembly and related meetings.
