The Politics in the Inter Party Cooperation may be responsible for IPC’s failure in what would be a noble objective

I really fail to understand the operations of the Inter Party Cooperation. I had thought that this organ would operate vibrantly and that the public would be fed on developments regularly, unfortunately, it does not seem to be the case. When a person comes out and says that NRM may have it in the 2011 National Elections, it may be no surprise. It will be a great shame. The NRM has made many mistakes which the joint opposition would use as opportunity to get them out of power; unfortunately, every party sees itself as having the potential to get NRM out of office! We are now witnessing armed persons for example confronting Dr. Besigye this is all evidence of the decay in NRM, but no single party can manage to go it alone.

Why can we not see joint party campaigns now, only to see each party going it alone? Given the trend, if the party leaders don’t sit as IPC and forge a way forward, I see it as a waste of time. It will be a great shame if the NRM gets majority in Parliament come the 2011 elections; and also when we fail because of our selfishness to cooperate on viable strategies to see a worthy future for our ruined country.
